Klyne Jewelry founder Kara Lyne Szabadi's background and experience in fine art have greatly influenced her design career. She has honed her art from a young age, to her academic studies, and finally as an art teacher for young people exploring their own creativity. Her studies were focused in photography and painting, and since university she has leapt into many different digital mediums, creating an eclectic and diverse portfolio. 

 

Kara has shown in many galleries in Los Angeles over the years, continuing to make work about identity, appearance, and honesty alongside her design career. Her concepts intertwine and often overlap, regardless of the medium she is working in. Themes of self-portraiture and individuality are balanced with observational commentary and calmness. Kara's auto-biographical nature can be seen in all mediums she explores.
